CPS regularly offers scholarships in connection with major European and international conferences f within the field of palynology:
- EPPC: European Palaeobotany and Palynology Conference
- IPPC: International Palaeobotany and Palynology Conference
These scholarships are intended to provide financial support participation in these meetings. The CPS scholarship can be used to cover costs such as registration fees, travel expenses, and accommodation. Calls for applications will be announced on our website once available.
The scholarship is aimed at Master’s and PhD students, as well as early-career palynologists (max. 5 years after their PhD), who are members of CPS. If the applicant is not yet a member at the time of application, they are expected to apply for membership simultaneously.
Applicants must have submitted an abstract for the meeting (copy of the abstract should be attached to the application) and present their work there (either as a poster or an oral contribution).Master’s and PhD students should additionally provide a letter of recommendation from their supervisor. The topic of the contribution should be clearly related to palynology and of current scientific relevance.
Recipients are required to acknowledge CPS support on their poster or oral presentation and on any related social media posts related to the conference. In addition, they should write a summary of their experience of the meeting for the CPS homepage (see examples below) and are encouraged to share their experience on their preferred social media channel(s).

- Completed and signed application form (PDF)
- Copy of the abstract of your contribution
- Letter of recommendation (for Master’s and PhD students)
- CV including a photograph
